BEspoke Board Shorts
Project Overview
A project developed during my studies in Fashion Textiles at LaSalle Singapore, focused on the creation of a bespoke board shorts mini collection using sustainable materials. The project explored the use of eco-conscious textiles such as recycled polyester blends, organic cotton, and repurposed fabric off-cuts, aiming to reduce material waste while maintaining functionality and durability for activewear.
The approach combined material research with hands-on development, from concept ideation to fabric selection and final garment construction. Considerations included minimising fabric waste through efficient pattern cutting and selecting lightweight, quick-dry materials suitable for water use. The outcome was a small-scale collection that reflects both craftsmanship and a practical understanding of sustainable design principles within a student-led exploration.
Deliverables: Logo and Branding Style Guide, Pattern designs & Sustainable Packaging sleeve.
School project completed in 2014.
